It is almost impossible to list my favorite composers without using some sort of hierarchy. Even though movie to movie and album to album the music can differ, despite the composer, there are some composers that just blow me away so consistently and to such a great degree that I need to list them.
Absolute Favorites: Jerry Goldsmith, David Arnold, Michael Giacchino, Ramin Djawadi
Other great composers: Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, Patrick Doyle, John Williams, Danny Elfman, Trevor Jones, James Horner, Henry Jackman, Joel McNeely, James Newton Howard, Alan Silvestri, Graeme Revell, Randy Edelman, Wojciak Kilar, Vangelis, Jeff Beal, Michael Kamen, John Powell, John Ottoman.
